location: Høvik, Bærum Kommune program: House for a family of five with integrated apartment and detached house number two. client: private size: 525m2 commission type: Direct commission (2011) status: Under development year: 2011 The challenging site is in the end of a dead end road in a well established residential area outside Oslo. The site’s topography and limitations called for a clear and simple geometric construction that brings the two units into a unified volume. The building is located on the edge of a slope, below a ridge that creates a clear attention and orientation to the southwest. Both units have a generous and functional ground plan with all the main functions, and direct axcess to the garden with separate areas of the garden for both units.Den svært utfordrende tomten ligger i enden av en blindvei i et etablert villaområde med blandet bebyggelse fra 1950 og fremover. Tomtens topografi og begrensninger fordret et geometrisk klart og enkelt bygg som samler de to boenhetene i et enhetlig volum. Bygget ligger på kanten av skråningen under et høydedrag som skaper en klar henvendelse mot sørvest. Begge enhetene har et generøst og funksjonelt hovedplan med alle oppholdsfunksjoner, og utgang til separate haveanlegg med gode solforhold i sørvest. |
